Dr. C. Peter Romaine – Chief Scientific Officer and cofounder of Agarigen, is a Professor and the Swayne Endowed Chair in Mushroom Science at The Pennsylvania State University. He is the inventor of the patented mushroom transformation methodology that represents the cornerstone of Agarigen’s MMP™ system. Dr. Romaine is a leading expert in mushroom biotechnology with over 25 years of experience.
Dr. Donald S. Walters – Chief Technical Officer and cofounder of Agarigen, is a biochemist and molecular biologist with over 20 years of experience in plant biotechnology and PMPs. Dr. Walters has managed R & D teams for Monsanto, DeKalb, DuPont, and Syngenta Biopharma, where he was responsible for the development and implementation of their PMP platforms.
Mr. Brett K. E. Lund – Member of the Board of Directors, holds M.B.A., J.D. and Health Sector Management degrees from Duke University. Mr. Lund has held management positions at Johnson & Johnson, Incyte Genomics, and Syngenta BioPharma. His first start-up company raised over $75M in financing and he has represented numerous other startups in raising over $100 million in venture financing. Mr. Lund has represented many pharmaceutical companies, including Amgen, IDEC Pharmaceuticals, Amylin Pharmaceuticals and Elan Corporation in a wide range of transactions, including the Acadia Pharmaceuticals IPO.
